Formed in 1897, The University of Sheffield is one of the UK's leading universities, and excels in scientific and technological research and development. It is recognised as the UK’s 5th university for quality of life sciences research.
Sheffield counts five Nobel laureates among its alumni and researchers, and in 2001, 73% of its subjects were assessed as delivering ‘research of international standards of excellence’ – that’s against a national average of 39%.
Medical life sciences research is a principal focus for the university and an area in which it can demonstrate an admirable record, with three Nobel Prize winners for medicine/physiology and two Nobel Prize winners for chemistry. Sheffield is a member of the Russell Group of Britain's leading research intensive universities
We work with the University's technology transfer operation to turn the university’s IP into successful business. We began an exclusive 10 year agreement with the university in 2005.
